GREEN COMMITMENT

Terresense, Inc. strives to provide the best advanced sensor technology available to meet the needs of the natural resources community with minimal impact to the environment. The company takes an active role in reducing our own carbon emissions. We are very sensitive to the issues surrounding climate change and strive to reduce any impact our services may have on the environment. Our founding principles are centered on harnessing sensor technology to fight global climate change and improve the health of forest-based natural resources. We have implemented several initiatives to reduce the impact of our remote sensing services on the environment while enhancing the services we offer to our customers:

AIRCRAFT

Terresense, Inc. has selected the Navajo Chieftain as the primary sensor platform hosting the Terresense Sensor Suite. The aircraft provides an excellent balance of aircraft performance, safety, and minimal environmental impact. The aircraft engines were selected based on their economical fuel consumption, low pollution, and low noise profile.

MULTIPLE SENSOR SUITES

Terresense, Inc. consolidates various sensors to one aircraft to enhance data collection and reduce additional or repeated flights in a survey area. Our innovative design team is specially trained for "small footprint" technology sensor integration. This allows the company to incorporate more sensor technology for natural resource monitoring into a small, fuel efficient, aircraft while capitalizing on the minimal emissions impact on the environment.

MISSION PLANNING

Terresense, Inc. has developed an aviation planning "green" survey methodology to enhance mission efficiencies through route selection, survey transects planning, consolidation of survey missions, and carbon emissions assessment. The aircrew is specially trained to ensure missions can be accomplished with the lowest number of required flying hours. Permission planning identifies all sensitive habitat avoidance areas and routes are selected to minimize the impact on local wildlife.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Terresense, Inc. strives to increase on-board sensor capability and data collection efficiency to reduce flight hours. In addition, Terresense, Inc. assesses emerging and innovative technology that can positively impact the environment for inclusion in the sensor suite.
